Creative Director

Liz is the creative force behind the camera, the edit suite, and the podcast mic. With over ten years in the media space she brings high attention to detail to everything she produces. She produces podcasts, captures engaging video content, edits stories that connect, and keeps the creative wheels turning behind the scenes. From concept to final delivery, Liz brings ideas to life with a focus on quality, creativity, and results.

Hugh is the engine behind the scenes at Zen Den Studios. As Director of Operations, he keeps everything running smoothly, managing studio bookings and schedules, leading client relationships, overseeing communication, and ensuring every project meets our high standards before delivery.

Our Ethos: Kodawari

Our primary influence during the creation of Zen Den Studios was Japan. We have such a strong connection and pull to this country and its people, specifically to a certain element of Japanese culture known as Kodawari.

The literal translation of Kodawari is perfectionism, but it's more like devotion. In the West we look to the results, but in Japan it's about the process. It's the uncompromising dedication to one's craft, focusing on details that most people will never notice. Japan has this ethos ingrained into every aspect of their culture, no matter what the job or task, it is done with deep care and precision.

Quality in Japan is not an accident, it is an intention.

We strive to emulate this in our lives and work here at home, and every trip we take to Japan reinvigorates this dedication within ourselves. Both Japan and Zen Den Studios recognize that caring deeply about what you do is the ultimate act of compassion, peace, and mindfulness.
